Jeff Barrows started his professional career as an Obstetrician-Gynecologist practicing in a rural Ohio town. In 1999, he joined the Christian Medical & Dental Association (CMDA) to help administrate one of their short term mission ministries. While working with CMDA, Dr. Barrows was introduced to the issue of human trafficking and felt a call to devote his time and energy to train health care professionals on how to identify and respond to victims of human trafficking that present to the health care setting. In 2008, he Founded Gracehaven, a specialized rehabilitative home for survivors of child sex trafficking. Dr. Barrows has traveled all over the country training nurses and physicians on human trafficking and helped develop a toolkit to prepare hospitals to respond appropriately to victims of trafficking. Finding Freedom deals with the spiritual warfare involved in human trafficking and is Dr. Barrows’ first novel. He lives in rural Ohio, and enjoys running, golfing, reading and spending time with his family.
